Hello dear readers, As we roll into another week, I will start off this blog with a lovely update from our educator Roshani who has a lot of interesting thoughts to share about the weekly adventures at Avinya. Lights, camera, action… and the vlog week continues. This week was filled with so many vloggers and script writers going all around the school capturing videos for their vlogs about their journey in Avinya. The students put a lot of effort into editing their videos, showcasing their Avinya journey, and expressing gratitude for all the skills and life lessons they learnt here. Despite missing some students who were away for Jetwing training, the teams pushed forward with determination. Students are also super excited about their project showcase at the upcoming press briefing. They have spent countless hours brainstorming ideas, researching, and collaborating with their teammates to bring their projects and all that they have learnt here at Avinya. The anticipation is palpable as

Greetings dear reader, Another week, another whirlwind. I sometimes ponder whether we should change the logo of the Avinya Academy to something resembling a tornado, but I digress. Our featured educator is Dilani this week and she has summarised the events of the week perfectly! Dilani here! I am happy to be part of this week’s episode of The Avinya Scoop. As always our campus has been abuzz in the past week - We started a fun, new project; interviews continued, Jetwing training took place along with some final vocational placements; graduation excitement is in the air and the list goes on.  As a Home Room Teacher, I can honestly say that my heart is on my sleeves these days. With our students on the home stretch of their journey in the Empower Program and with some of our students leaving earlier than anticipated to embark on their careers in the Hospitality industry,  it is a time of mixed emotions! So very proud of our kids and excited for them; however, at the same time, I am secre

Greetings dear reader, We’re almost at the finish line! After wrapping our beloved Tinkerbell project, we have embarked on a new project: Let's vlog it. Before we move onto more details about the week, our educator Anuki has some thoughts about the week: TinkerCad, Tinker Dad, Tinker Bell… you name it, that was the highlight of this week. The educators started off the project on Redesign my School with a very active running dictation to familiarize the terms used in TinkerCad which shortly ended up looking like a human sandwich between students slamming across the whiteboard. The kids then started using their creative minds to envision their previously designed floor plan of the school into TinkerCad. It was so surprising to see how well they got hold of this new site and were using it like professionals. Their designs were truly exceptional and futuristic as well. They then made an infographic to  present their model explaining how special it is to the rest of the school. The mode

Check out some of our week’s highlights from our Mechatronics Supersonic Hair Tonic Educator Vihan. We capped off last week with a Fun Friday session! The kids and educators gathered together to do some fun learning activities as a group and let their hair down, of course metaphorically speaking. The kids were super appreciative of the downtime after a hard week of hospitality training and mock exams.  Now, The kids are back from their much awaited long weekend, looking daisy fresh and ready to take on yet another project which is set to bring out our kids' creative sides. If you were given the opportunity, how would you have built your school? Well, that’s exactly what we’ve tasked our kids with for the next two weeks, and it’s off to a great start. Conceptualizing, Floor plans and TinkerCAD; the kids have hit the ground running with drawing up their ideas for improving the academy and judging by the first few drafts, we’re going to have some insane models to exhibit next week (so
