Series 2, Blog #3 - At the Cusp of a Learning Revolution

Dear readers,


This week marked an exciting milestone for us as we officially launched the second Empower Program with an energetic orientation week! It was a week filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a sense of anticipation as 125 new students got to know their homeroom teachers and fellow classmates through a series of engaging activities.


One of the highlights of the week was introducing our students to the ethos of Avinya, the guiding principles that are the foundation of our program. We took this as an opportunity to convey the values and expectations we have for our students, setting the tone for a successful journey ahead. The homeroom teachers have been hard at work, also making sure the necessary documentation has been sorted, to ensure a smooth start to the program.


After orientation week, students will be kicking off their Empower journey with our new and improved "My digital passport" on their brand-new devices. We believe that digital literacy is a fundamental skill for the future, and we're excited to provide our students with the tools they need to thrive in a digitally driven world. Another Empower program is born, and we couldn't be more thrilled to embark on this educational journey with our new group of students!


In the world of IT, our young tech enthusiasts have wasted no time in diving headfirst into the exciting world of coding. Some of them have already completed entire modules and written their very first lines of code. We're very proud of their progress and can't wait to see where their newfound coding abilities will take them.


As we look ahead, we're filled with optimism and excitement for the second Empower Program. With a motivated group of students, dedicated teachers, and a strong commitment to our ethos, we're confident that these six months will be yet another testament to growth, learning, and countless opportunities for our students to shine.

Hello dear readers, Graduation day had finally arrived, and it was nothing short of a massive success in all our eyes! As each student proudly received their certificates, the homeroom teachers shared heartfelt one-liners that echoed the unique journey each student had taken at Avinya. In true Avinya fashion, we faced a few hiccups here and there (we perhaps should not have put our Executive Directress in a saree on this important day) but all in all it was a beautiful day that showcased the culmination of hard work and dedication from the first batch of the Empower program. Vocational Magic in the Works #45

Greetings dear readers, I’ve taken the floor yet again, collaborating with a couple of educators to document another eventful week at Avinya! The week commenced with a burst of excitement as intriguing developments unfolded in all three vocational areas. Vidushi and Dee have some wonderful thoughts to share with us about them! A highlight this week was the Jetwing training which spanned three days. During the three days the students explored what is unique about being in the hospitality industry paying special attention to the importance of quality service. They also worked in teams to explore difficult situations that could occur in their day to day workplace through role plays and had a lively discussion on the importance of feedback and how to take direction. The most important aspect was enlightening the students on the variety of options and departments that lie in the hospitality industry and how important it is to choose what suits your personality the best. Series 2 Blog #1 - Roses, budding coders and bonding time

Hi everyone, Our 53rd weekly blog post couldn't have come at a more fitting time.
